Currently…

I have been so completely “off my game” lately. Behind on my reading challenge, behind on my weekly posts, exhausted, cheating on my diet when I know that I have a long way to go. It’s been rough. Work is busy, which is not a bad thing, but it doesn’t help with the above referenced “off my game” claim.

I also have not had the time to focus on the workshop I need to complete before starting my second Master’s program at the end of the month. I’m taking this weekend as a let’s get back in the game type of weekend. Let go of all the bad I’ve done, and move towards good.

RunDIsney is back, and I have signed up for two half marathons. Of course, with work being so busy last week I bumped my training priority down and the needs to be put back on the top. So tomorrow, along with a new week and new attitude, my training will officially start. I have exactly 12 weeks and 5 days until my first half marathon in over two years and I will be doing well in it. That I know is certain.

My diet also needs to be put back on the top priority level. I’ve lost 16 pounds, I gained two this week, and I have another 40 to go (50 if I’m ambitious). No more cheating. No more laziness. Definitely no more procrastinating. I can’t afford it, and I don’t have the time to set myself up to fail.

I will say, I have started watching Bull with Michael Weatherly (formally from NCIS) and I’m hooked. A few years ago I caught a few episodes here and there, but not like this. I am 100% hooked and I want to watch as much as possible so I can watch the new season when it airs. Paramount+ is my best friend right now. I’ve also been watching One Tree Hill (again) and Charmed from season one, but since I started Bull they’ve been put on the back burner. I’m particularly interested in One Tree Hill again because of the Drama Queens podcast. I’ve been enjoying getting the opinion of Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Sofia Bush on what they thought about and experienced when producing the show, as well as what the outcome was.

I posted a new blog post about my recent obsession with graphic t-shirts. Today, instead of wearing one of those (since I wore one two days in a row!) I am in an oversized Free People white t-shirt and my new curvy high rise 90’s fit jean shorts from Abercrombie and Fitch. Color me SHOCKED that I a) fit in A&F shorts, especially at this size, and b) I’ve enjoyed wearing them (another two days in a row!). Today I am expecting a second pair, but of the mom fit style. Stay tuned on whether those look good and/or fit.

Let’s see what else has this shopaholic order that she is waiting to arrive? 1) SheIn – I ordered a bunch of tops, a few dresses, and some hair accessories. 2) Celine sunglasses from Poshmark. 3) Two more graphic tee’s from Target. 4) Additional beauty items from the Nordstrom Sem-Annual Sale. Previously, I bought a bunch of lip glosses and mascara, now I’ve bought the triple cheek palette from Nars and a set of two Bobbi Brown lip tints. 5) This insomniac is finally going to try CBD drops to help her sleep, so I am waiting on my order from Equilibria. 6) Amazon – probably my fifth or six order this week – a waterproof iPhone 12 Pro Max case that is MagSafe charging compatible. HOW GREAT IS THAT!

This upcoming week, work wise, is more laxed than the last two weeks…but I have a lot to do, and not a lot of time to do it. School starts in roughly two and a half weeks and I got to make sure I am focused, so that is what my week is going to look like. Oh did I mention I bought more books, that I definitely didn’t need considering my ever growing pile, so I’m going to also not just catch up, on my challenge, but get ahead. That’s the new KJ that is coming this way. How’s your week looking?
