Currently…

I am so behind on the currently post that I might as well just combine last weeks and this weeks, so that is just what I am going to do!

Last week, I finally got around to finishing “Get a Life, Chloe Brown” by Talia Hibbert. I also ordered the other two books in the series, about her sisters. I didn’t expect them to come next day, so I started the last book club book for my work book club “The Likeability Trap”. Once I finish, I’ll go back into the world of the Brown Sisters.

I will say that I liked “Get a Life, Chloe Brown” more than I anticipated. I finished it in roughly three days, after I actually started the book. Remember that I’ve been struggling actually starting a book this year, regardless how much I like it, it takes me a week before I really start. I’m trying to avoid that with this new book, “The Likeability Trap”, so every night I read at least a paragraph or too. Maybe this will help me get over the delay in starting my books!

Somehow, and I’ve mentioned it before, I’m still on track with my reading goal in 2021. Usually in the summer, especially when I’m at the beach, I tend to binge read. I’m hoping this is the case so I can actually bump my reading goal up a few more books (from 30 to maybe 45?) I’m trying to be realistically ambitious. Let’s see what happens.

This week I am going to finalize my application for the Master’s of International Business at FIU. I officially submitted the supporting documentation, up to the video portion. I’ve been trying to get the video done, but since I’m also working my pings tend to interrupt the recording and then I start over and it’s all down hill from there. However, I need to get it done. So that is my goal for this week.

We’re also in the middle of the second production, and development is starting to ramp up so we’ve been swamped. I’m also involved with a lot of research and data related to creating the right amount of KPI’s for our department so I’m swamped with that as well. Surprisingly though, I still wake up and love my job. I shouldn’t say surprisingly, since I truly love my job. I think it’s more a surprise because at the three year mark at Disney I was in the middle of mourning my son and getting back into the real world. But, to-date, I love my job and the people I work with. This month was my third workaversary at Telemundo! Can you believe it? Time flies when you’re having fun!

Lately, I have been fighting the urge to not watch One Tree Hill for the umpteenth time. Instead, I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls. I found it on a local station, so I watch it every morning when I wake up until mid-afternoon. I’ve also been trying to find a way to watch all the seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles since I’ve been watching reruns, and when I want to finish I fall asleep!
