My Skin & Make Up Routine

For about a month/month and a half, I have been using some new makeup products that I have become increasingly obsessed with. I’ve mentioned before how much I love my skincare products from Guerlain, which I started using earlier this year. The biggest change though has been the makeup, since it’s already been two months or so since I started the skincare products.

To be 100%, I love buying skincare and makeup products (like way too much), but I actually hate wearing makeup. Why you ask? Because I live in Florida and it’s so damn HOT all the time. Back in the day, when I would wear makeup all the time, I felt like it would melt off instantaneously and then I would look disheveled.

Now, though, I don’t even mind wearing makeup when it’s hot. Even more, I don’t mind wearing makeup and then a mask over it! I don’t look like I’m melting and I don’t feel disheveled. It’s a miracle! So what do I do you ask? Let’s break down my routine:

First and foremost, I cleanse; one of the Guerlain skincare products I love is Orchidée Impériale The Rich Cleansing Foam. It’s most definitely the most expensive product I have from Guerlain, but it’s so worth it. I honestly didn’t think it was a big deal, but it truly is; a little goes a long way too, so I know I’m getting a bang for my buck.

Next up, is the Abeille Royale Anti-aging Youth Watery Oil which has actually been the product I’ve been using the longest. I asked for it for Christmas because I wanted to see what the hype was, and boy was I surprised. This product has seriously made the new routine worth while. After I use the Youth Watery Oil, I put the Abeille Royale Daily Repair Serum on followed by the Summer Fridays CC Me Vitamin C Serum.

The Abeille Royale Eye R Repair Serum is the last step before my moisturizer. This product is the holy grail of the Abeille Royale line and the dropper offers a precise dose of the serum and provides a reviving massage with its rounded shape. Last, but not least, after all these products it is time for the Guerlain Abeille Royale Day Cream. This moisturizer is perfectly pigmented and provides just the right amount of moisture and and hydration.

There is a second repair serum that I have on my list to purchase, the Abeille Royale Double R – Renew & Repair Serum, which is something I would use both in the morning and evening portion of the routine. At night, I use the Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream as my moisturizer and it’s the perfect way to end my day. There is one more Guerlain product that I use, the Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil Anti-Pollution, but this is solely used when I have makeup on with my makeup eraser towel because it takes literally all my mascara and makeup in one shot. It’s actually a really cool product because you’re supposed to put the oil on your dry, made up, face and then add water once it’s on to cleanse. It leaves my skin silky smooth.

Now that we walked through the skincare, let’s talk about my makeup. Again, this new makeup routine is the perfect routine for someone who likes easy breezy, no makeup makeup (AKA me). Once my moisturizer has dried, I put the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation (I am a #3, Fair) with my Hourglass Cosmetics foundation brush. Once my foundation dries, I put the Kylie Cosmetics Blush Stick in Runway (I would link it, but the website is down). I’ve been using this concealer, my sister calls it the overpriced concealer, but I personally love it. It brightens under my eyes and covers any spots perfectly; it’s the Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Corrector for Eyes Liquid Concealer in BIEGE.

For mascara, I love to mix more than one. Right now, I am mixing the Chanel inimitable mascara with the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes mascara. I also mix the Gucci Mascara L’Obscur in there every so often. I would say those three are my absolute favorite right now.

I literally have two containers full of lip glosses and lip sticks in my vanity, but I tend to turn to a handful I carry in my makeup bag. First would be the NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm and Turbo. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath Gloss, in pillow talk, and I use the Kylie Cosmetics KENDALL Lip Kit and High Gloss. I love that kit so much, I have a second one stashed for when I finish the first one. I also have some other high glosses from Kylie’s company that I love to throw in my bags.

It’s funny, writing this out really made me realize how dedicated I am to making sure my skin stays healthy and what I am missing. First and foremost, I am missing sun protection, which is not good. I usually use the excuse that I never leave my house, but that truly isn’t an excuse. Sun protection is extremely important, especially with my rosacea.
