Currently…
Can you believe that it’s already the END of January, 2021? I honestly had to take a minute to really process that. When I return to work on Monday, it’ll be FEBRUARY. Holy hell I can’t believe I’m writing/saying that! Although 2020 felt like the never ending year, looking back it feels like it was done in the blink of an eye. Biggest oxymoron ever right?
Anyway, I wanted to give you all a life update! This week I had a very important meeting with an admissions advisor from FIU for their Master in International Business program. I officially applied for the program and am currently in the process of completing the requirements to finish my application. I’m actually super excited at the thought of doing this!
I have always said that I see myself as a perpetual student. I just love to learn and the longer I stay working at Telemundo, the more I want to learn! Working with such an amazing team has really inspired me and I’ve met so many great people who make me want to be better. Today was actually my performance evaluation for last year, and I am so excited for what this year will bring. 2021 seems to be a year of new possibilities, once I am very much looking forward to.
On a non-work/school related note, I am on book six of 2021! I’m even more excited about that. I truly hope that I can continue this streak; Out of everything I want to get out of 2021, beating my reading goal is definitely one of them. I haven’t been able to do that in several years, so it is one of the top things to do this year. Book six is City of Girls, which is also the last book I borrowed from my sister (which I learned very quickly I will not do again!). She drives me insane. Anyway, back to the point. Once I finish City of Girls, I will finally be able to start knocking out the books lined up around my room.
This weekend is going to be very chill for me. I want to clean my room, put away my clothes, make sure I have everything for my ski trip ready, finish my essay and video for my application, and watch some stuff I have to catch up on. Our new production kicked off this week, and I’m already behind on a few episodes but I will definitely catch up this weekend. I’m really excited because it’s such a good show and the production was a blast to be apart of. Out of the four productions I’ve been involved in, this definitely seems to be my favorite. Production five kicks off on Monday and totally overlaps with the one I’m working on now, so it’s going to be a crazy few months.
I ordered several new things this past week: my new personalized Casetify x Disney iPhone case, two pairs of Peace Love World’s workout leggings (part of their new Mind Body Love collection), and Monopoly Deal! My family is extremely competitive and we love playing Monopoly, but we’ve never played it as a card game. I’m really excited to try it out; our family nights are going to be so much fun!
