Currently…

I am definitely, extremely, and totally late on this Currently post; but the past week has been a BITCH to say the least. Election night turned into Election week. My iPhone 12 Pro pre-order never arrived; although AT&T swore that it was in transit (which after 11 days of calling and harassing them, they finally admitted it was last in transit).

Finally on the 11th day of bitching to AT&T my iPhone 12 Pro order was escalated and an investigation was done; a replacement was finally processed, with a catch…the new arrival date is going to be 12/7 (an entire month and a half after the original expected arrival date). But you know what? Fuck it. I’m so over the iPhone drama that I don’t even care at this point. I wanted it before my birthday, but shit clearly happens.

As for the election, I received the best birthday present one could want after a year like this…BIDEN has been elected as the 46th president and will be inaugurated on January 20th. HALLELUJAH! The people have spoken and it’s bye, bye Donald Trump. It’s country over party at this point.

Another positive thing going for me this weekend is that Tina is here from Orlando visiting. She’s never been to Miami and despite the apparent hurricane that is headed this way, we are trying to do a crash course on Miami in two days. Since my birthday is Tuesday, we’re also going to my moms house for a late lunch and will cut a cake with my family and close friends.

I took the week off from work, which I’m slightly regretting because no one wants to go anywhere with me (that’s not true, I’m just being dramatic….work and life happened so they can’t go), so I’m just going to stay in Miami. That seems like that is the theme of the year: stay home bored. The alternative is that if the hurricane comes I may have to drive Tina back to Orlando, so I can turn it into a day trip and maybe stay the night, go to the parks and then drive home the next day. We shall see!

Anyway, this week, with my birthday happening will be interesting. I haven’t taken a week off in over a year and I’m not so sure I know how to completely disconnect but I definitely will try!! Stay tuned while I attempt to do so!
