This week was my first week in my new role and boy has it been a doozie. I’m really thankful for the opportunity, and I’m even more excited to implement new efficiencies within the department. I’m all about making things more efficient, it’s probably the only Disney Basic I still apply to my everyday life.

I’m still reading Sex and Vanity, by Kevin Kwan, but I’m truly enjoying it and I find that reading, even a few pages before bed helps me relax. I’ve been turning off my TV for a change, and reading a bit before bed. I want to try and make this a routine that I can stick to. So far, so good.

I do want to watch Emily in Paris. I’ve heard great things, and I’ve read bad things, but I’m a sucker for those kinds of shows so I am really looking forward to it. I’m not sure why I continue to gravitate to watch old reruns of my favorite shows like Charmed, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, instead of watching the gazillion things on my watch list.

Can you believe we’re going into November? I truly can’t. It’s seriously crazy. Not only is November my birthday month, but it’s also the start of the Holiday season. Since I lost Enzo, the holidays are a little hard for me. Although it gets slightly better every year, I still struggle on some days more than others. This year is no different; since we can’t do half the things we usually do, I’m trying to be extra cautious with my feelings and the things I do to celebrate the holiday season.

This year I decided to create a Christmas questionnaire for the people who I find more difficult to buy gifts for. Not to toot my own horn, but I think it’s been pretty successful. So far everyone has completed it and I have started drafting my ideas. Buying Christmas presents for my family and friends is probably the only thing I enjoy about the Christmas season nowadays. Especially since Enzo’s birthday falls so closely to Christmas.

On another note, I signed up for the Mastering Photo Editing on Your Phone from The Everygirl this past weekend and I’m really excited. I was going to start the lessons, but I really want to use my iPhone 12 Pro to take the pictures. The only problem is said iPhone 12 Pro hasn’t shipped (insert whining emoji here). I know, I know, first world problems. But it really is so annoying to preorder the phone and not get it. Supposedly it should ship this week, but at this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if I have to wait another two weeks which makes my mood about the whole situation that much more sour.
