Things I Bought When I had COVID (and after)
I’m not going to lie: having COVID absolutely SUCKED. That being said, I also went on a huge (HUGE) online shopping binge while I was stuck in my room (and in bed) for eleven days. It probably did not help that the #NSale and Amazon Prime Day fell during this time, but I most definitely went overboard with the shopping. I also feel like I should feel worse about it than I do, but YOLO.
You are probably thinking well what exactly did she even buy? It can’t be THAT bad…Oh, it’s absolutely THAT bad. Here is a list of everything I bought, listed by brand/store:

Amazon
Apple AirPods Max (Sky Blue) – Although they look GREEN and not blue, I am officially a convert. I hesitated to get these for a long time, but the more I saw people on IG with them the more I wanted a pair. I use them for work and I love them. I can’t even explain to you how good they sound.
Apple Watch Band – I am supposed to be training for the full marathon in January, but with COVID I’ve fallen behind. I was going to start this week, but I’m still so fatigued that I might have to re-evaluate my training again and push it another week. Regardless, I was influenced by someone on Instagram to buy this Apple Watch Band to wear while I train. I loved it so much when I bought it for the beach, that I ordered it in purple for my training!
Chunky Bamboo Tube Bracelets – I bought Madrina some of the cutest chunky bracelets for her birthday. I liked them so much, I bought myself two sets (these/these) to wear with my dress to a wedding I had on Friday.
Amazon Essentials Women’s Thin Two Strap Sandal Flat – my little sister has the TKEES version of these sandals and when I saw these “dupes” on Amazon, I knew I had to buy them. I even used the “Try Before You Buy” option so I could figure out which size would be my perfect fit.
On/Go One at-Home COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Self-Test – I love this brand of COVID tests. I used it in the past and absolutely loved it, but since I depleted my stash during my bout with COVID I knew I had to stock up again. I ordered a bunch more and actually signed up for the subscription so every five weeks I get a new batch. Better safe than sorry honestly. They are so easy to use and probably the most accurate I’ve seen on an “at home” test. The app is also super easy to use and guides you through the test process.
WW Scale by Conair – although during COVID I did not actively track my WW diet, I am going to start again now that I’m better. To facilitate the weigh-in, I ordered this scale that is Bluetooth enabled and links to an app. So far I’ve used it once and loved it.
Shibolim Sugar-Free Gluten Free Chocolate Covered Rice Cakes – this was recommended to me by someone at the WW meetings before I left for Siesta Key. I finally got around to ordering it, and they’re so good!
DEVAISE 7-Drawer Chest – this was hands down the most “Prime Day”-influenced purchase ever. I’m not even sure if I want this for the “bedroom” or for the “office” part of my Loft. Regardless, this baby is going to be put to good use.
Amazon Basics Collapsible Fabric Storage Cubes with Oval Grommets – 6-Pack, Chevron, Grey – I bought these on Prime Day also, but for the closet. My aunt is constantly bitching that I have too much “clutter” so I bought these to “hide” the clutter. So far,, they’ve worked like a charm and are probably my favorite thing about my closet. I even have two left over that I plan to use under my desk.
UKOKE 3800S Jewelry Cleaner – this is the BEST purchase I made during my shopping binge. I’ve already used it like four times and I’m obsessed. My jewelry looks BRAND new after sticking it in here. I mean my Yurman’s looked brand new, and I’m not even going to start with my rings. I was SHOOK. Highly, HIGHLY, recommend. I ordered this solution to use with it and it’s been a godsend.
OTTERBOX PREFIX SERIES iPhone 13 Pro Max – I love buying cases for my iPhone, but this one was a random one I picked during Prime Day. It’s super sleek and for the price, it works great!
Amazon Basics Satin Pillowcases – I love satin pillowcases for my pillows and I needed two more, so I snagged these during Prime Day.
Amazon Basics Deluxe Microfiber Striped Sheet Set – Queen – I also needed new sheets, another Prime Day steal.
Touchland Hand Sanitizer – I bought a pack of 6 and this Rosewater one because I knew I needed to restock the one I bought at Sephora.
Vintage tees – I bought three vintage tees that are Disney-themed. They’re so cute, I definitely didn’t realize how much I was going to like them (one / two / three)
Squishmallows – My sister’s best friend got her a squishmallow for her new apartment in Indiana and I knew I needed to get a Tigger one.
MacBook Charger Case – I saw this on TikTok and knew I had to buy one, so I bought two (one for each of my chargers). I am so obsessed with it because it protects the “brick” and organizes the cable for me. I mean it doesn’t get any better than that.
LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm – another Prime Day deal. I bought this in the tube version because I really hate the pot. I much rather be able to slater this on like a regular gloss.
Burt’s Bees 3 In 1 Micellar Facial Cleanser Towelettes – I love these, and I use them a lot. Before I ordered them through Target but then I discovered them on Amazon at a better price point. I’ll never buy them at Target again.
Ksmien Women’s 2 in 1 Running Shorts – I wanted to attempt to wear shorts while I trained for the half, so I ordered these. I can’t wait to try them and see if I can actually run in shorts. It’s just too hot in Florida!
Black Fanny Pack – I saw on Instagram that this was the IDEAL bag for Disney. I am obsessed with fanny packs (I have four SCL ones and one Lululemon one) so I bought this one to see what the hype was about. It’s on its way to me, but I’ll let you know what I really think once it arrives!
Oribe Moisture & Control Deep Treatment Masque – I am a sucker for Oribe. I absolutely love their shampoo/conditioners and this one is no different. I can’t even explain to you how soft my hair is after I use this.
Sunnies – I am obsessed with buying Amazon sunglass dupes. I bought these and these. They’re surprisingly great quality and fit beautifully.
Sunglass Organizer – This is the “dupe” of the Quay sunglass organizer. I absolutely love it and can’t wait to use it when I travel next!
The Drop Women’s @caralynmirand Ruffle-Neck Tiered Mini Dress – I am a huge fan of Caralyn Mirand and when she posted this dress on her IG I knew I had to get it. This yellow shade is such a beautiful color, I can’t wait to have somewhere to go so I can wear it!
R+Co Spiritualized Dry Shampoo Mist – I really need to learn how to use Dry Shampoo so I bought this on Prime Day to see if it works. I used it on Saturday for the first time, and I think I like it. Stay tuned. I’ll keep using it to see what I really think about it. I will say right off the bat, my hair did not feel chalky which is why I went the mist versus spray route.

BOMBAS Donegal Assorted 6-Pack Cushion No-Show Socks – I love Bombas socks, but I needed some that I could wear with my Golden Goose sneakers, so I saw these as part of the anniversary sale and I bought them immediately. I am an absolute sucker for all Bombas socks.
Oribe Conditioner for Brilliance & Shine – Again, I’m a sucker for Oribe. I really wanted to try this conditioner so I bought it, even though it wasn’t on sale! Now if the shampoo would come back in stock, that would be great. I also just bought the shampoo, since it’s finally back in stock, and I’m obsessed.
BÉIS Weekend Travel Bag – this was an “I was influenced by my little sister” purchase. I’m so excited to use this bag, I just have to plan a trip to do so!
ELEMIS Jumbo Size Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm – I actually tried this the other day and it melted my makeup off in seconds. I’m so excited I got this. I’ll do a full detailed product review soon! (In the event the jumbo size is sold out, here’s the link for the regular size!)
SKIMS Pointelle Logo Triangle Bralette – I bought two of these because I love my SKIMS bras so much. I wear them daily, in rotation with my other SKIMS bralettes. I honestly haven’t worn another bra since I first bought the SKIMS ones. For this purchase, I got the SLATE and the MINERAL colors.
SKIMS Heathered Short Pajamas – I have these in two colors, but this purchase was for my best friend’s birthday present. She loves them as much as I do, so of course, I had to include them on this list. For reference, I also own two pairs of the Women’s Pajamas styles and four pairs of the Rib Pajamas styles.

I’ve become so obsessed with Aerie this summer, that when I originally bought these items I never thought I’d become as addicted as I have!
Aerie Breezy Boyfriend T-Shirt – I bought six of these tees (two in white, charcoal, baby blue, navy, mint)
OFFLINE By Aerie Ribbed 7″ Bike Short – I bought four of these (and I’ve worn them a bunch already!) I got them in black (two), blue (two), and the mint color. They are SO comfortable.
Stoney Clover Lane
If you know me, you know that I am OBSESSED with Stoney Clover Lane. During my bout with COVID, I went overboard ordering from them. It definitely helped that they dropped two collections while I was sick, so I totally justified my purchases (even though I shouldn’t have). Here is what I bought:
- Disney Minnie Mouse Bag Charm – I bought one for myself and one for my best friend, as her birthday present!
- Denim Keychain Wallet with the Denim Minnie Mouse Bow with Crystals Patch – I had been wanting a keychain wallet for some time, so when I saw this as part of the “Happy Camper” collection I knew I had to have it. I’m so glad I got it, I’ve immediately changed out my wallet and put my stuff in this one!
- Denim Jumbo Fanny Pack – another “Happy Camper” collection buy! I love the SCL fanny packs, and this one is no different. I think my favorite thing is that it’s JUMBO so everything fits so well! I wanted a fanny I could wear around Miami, not just when I was at Disney. I’m so glad I got it. I’m currently using it as a purse! I didn’t personalize it, so the denim is as perfect as you could possibly imagine.
- Disney Minnie Mouse Bow Bag Charm – I got this bag charm as well and put it on my Princess fanny pack for when I go to the parks!
- Disney Mickey & Friends Sweatpants – these are definitely my favorite SCL purchase to date. They are so comfortable and so cute, they also fit great. I wore them yesterday and I’m already trying to figure out when I can wear them again!
- Disney Princess Belt Bag by Stoney Clover Lane – one of my very best friends from Disney, Bess, got me this bag when she went to Disney Springs. I’m so excited to rock it. Even more excited that she got it for me since it’s since sold out across property!
- Banana Clear Flat Pouch with Periwinkle Glitter Varsity Letter Patches (TECH) – this past weekend SCL dropped a new color and I jumped on that gravy train so quickly. I’m obsessed. It’s the “banana” color, which I got in the flat pouch, and I personalized it with the periwinkle letters spelling out TECH. I’m very excited about this, especially since I don’t really have a pouch that’s dedicated to my tech stuff. I currently use one of the “stuff” pouches I have instead, but that’s going to change soon!
- Classic Mini Tote in Banana with Periwinkle Glitter Varsity Letter Patches (KJ) – after I received my gorgeous TECH pouch (and fell in love) I decided to go ahead and order a “mini” tote (since I already have two of the regular size) to use as my new work bag!! WE ARE OFFICIALLY GOING BACK TO THE OFFICE (EVERYONE, twice a week) and I decided I needed a new bag to tote all my stuff! I’m so excited to get this bag!
Love Your Melon
My friend introduced me to this brand when they came out with a Winnie the Pooh collection, and while I was buying that collection I also ended up ordering from the Harry Potter one too! Given it’s for a good cause, I didn’t mind buying two things. I’m excited for them to get here!

This is a local, Miami, brand and I absolutely love their candles. They came out with a limited edition, orange, color candle that I jumped on right away. I even personalized it to have my initials on the cover! This is the candle I got, in the “tall dark and handsome” scent, with the stripes design.

I ordered a few things on Target’s website during my bout with COVID like six new Colleen Hoover books (one / two / three / four / five / six), a Justin Bieber graphic tee, and some more hangers (these were on sale for Target Deal Days)
Sephora
During my COVID days, Sephora had 25% off all Ole Henricksen products so I restocked on my favorite moisturizer (the Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer is hands down the best moisturizer I have ever used) and I bought their BeamCream Smoothing Body Moisturizer with AHAs to try.
