Shit I’ve Bought on Amazon Lately (& it’s a lot)

I wanted to put together a post on all the shit I’ve bought on Amazon, especially because Amazon is hosting their second set of Prime day deals called the “Prime Early Access Sale”. These sales go live on October 11 and 12th and will have a lot of early holiday deals available. So because of this, I am going to expose my extreme Amazon shopping addiction and give you a rundown on everything I have purchased since July when they had the first set of Prime Day deals.

To make this as seamless as possible I thought the best way to break everything down was by splitting the purchases into categories: fashion, beauty, tech, and miscellaneous shit.

Beauty Products

I have always bought my beauty products from either Sephora or Ulta, but lately, I find myself turning to Amazon as well! I’ve seen a bunch of things on Instagram and TikTok that I’ve jumped at buying, and I think Amazon has the best deals for them. Here are the beauty products (makeup, skincare, and hair) that I’ve bought:

  • Burt’s Bees 3 In 1 Micellar Facial Cleanser Towelettes and Makeup Remover Wipes – I’ve referenced these in previous posts, I absolutely love these wipes and I have them on a subscription so they’ll auto-renew and ship every other month in a pack of 3.
  • EltaMD UV Daily SPF 40 Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer – Alexa 100% influenced this purchase. She loves this tinted SPF so I had to try it, and since then I’ve been hooked. I love it, and also have it on a subscription plan so it’ll ship me a new one every few months.
  • Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré – I originally bought this in the travel size, to “try”, and I loved it so much I ordered the regular size as well. It’s definitely a thicker consistency, but I love that I can also use it as a primer and skip a step when I do my makeup. Definitely worth trying, and they have one for more sensitive skin if needed.
  • Oribe Shampoo for Brilliance & Shine – I have a bunch of different Oribe shampoos, but I noticed that this is one I truly love (and will be repurchasing when the time comes). I will do a separate post on my hair products, but I got this on Amazon during the summer and I truly love it. Here is the link for the Conditioner that goes with this, which I also have.
  • NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Jumbo Eye Pencil – this was a TikTok-influenced purchase. It can be used as eyeliner AND eye shadow, which I am very excited to try and potentially buy in more colors.
  • Jessup Large Face Makeup Brushes – Another TikTok-influenced purchase, but they’re supposed to be the dupes for the super popular Morphe brushes. So far, I love the foundation and powder brushes. I turn to them the most out of the five.

Fashion Items

I love Amazon Fashion. There isn’t a category I love to buy from more than the fashion category on Amazon, and this is also a category that I tend to experiment the most with (not everything I buy is a hit). And because of Instagram and TikTok, I feel like I find myself shopping on Amazon even more (as if I needed another reason to shop on Amazon). Here are all the things I’ve bought lately that fall into this category:

  • Sweaters
    • SAFRISIOR Women’s Oversized Half Zip Sweatshirt Pullover – I bought this one in the gray originally and loved it so much, then I bought the nude color. I’ll probably snag a few more colors as well. I truly love the material, it’s warm and cozy, and you can size up to get a more oversized fit (which I did).
    • LOGENE Womens Oversized Fuzzy Crewneck – I love an oversized sweater more than anything. Since I live in Florida, and it’s mostly 100 degrees all year round, I don’t get the chance to wear a lot of sweaters (unless it’s for work, since I work in an ice box). This sweater is perfect for skinny jeans or leggings, lounging around at home, or running errands, and it still works with a pair of black pants for the office. The material is extremely soft, and the oversized fit is everything. I currently have a second color in my cart (I purchased the gray color first).
  • Jeans
    • FRAME Le Original Jeans – I was excited that these jeans fit me, so excited I wore them the next day to work LOL I was afraid to try FRAME jeans because I’m always a weird size in foreign jeans, but they fit super nice and I was so happy (I didn’t even have to size up, which was the best thing). They don’t have a lot of stretch in them, but they were comfortable and I didn’t feel weird walking out of the house. I would definitely buy another pair.
    • Good American Good Legs Flare Jeans – I love GA jeans, I have since the beginning, however, I have been looking for a pair of jeans that are NOT skinny jeans. I tried these out, and they fit like a glove. My only complaint is that they’re built for tall people, which I am not. I’m an average-sized female at 5’4 so I will have to take these to get hemmed before I can wear them (or I can start wearing 7″ platform heels, which I will not do).
  • Tops
    • Fisoew Women’s Oversized T-Shirts – another oversized item, but I love it. My favorite thing to do is wear a t-shirt and bike shorts, even more so if it’s oversized. I bought the black color and currently have the white and pink in my cart.
    • Graphic Tees – I love to wear graphic tees with bike shorts, it’s practically my uniform behind oversized tees and bike shorts. Amazon has a great selection of tops, especially concert or band tees. I bought a Backstreet Boys tee and a Spice Girls tee, and I’ve been looking for an NSYNC one too. I also love to get Disney graphic tees on Amazon for my trips. Unfortunately, this one didn’t arrive on time for my last trip but fortunately for me, it’ll be in my suitcase for my next one.
  • Athleisure
    • SATINA Palazzo Wide-Legged Pants Originally, I tried the American Eagle wide-legged yoga pants and they were a huge FAIL, so when I saw these on TikTok or Instagram (I can’t remember which) I jumped at the chance to try them. Thankfully, they fit great and they look great. Best of all, I didn’t have to get them hemmed!
    • DOBREVA Lounge Sets – definitely an influenced by social media set, but WOW is it comfortable. I’ve worn it twice, despite the 100-degree weather in Miami. It’s so soft and so incredibly comfy.
    • RUNNING GIRL Sports Bra – this is easily a Lululemon Sports Bra dupe. It fits super comfortably and provides a great amount of support.
  • Hotouch Ruffle Loose Swing Casual Gingham Babydoll Dress – I love buying dresses on Amazon. If a dress I am wearing isn’t from Amazon, then it’s from SheIn or Loft. This dress fit beautifully and I love the layered look, it was extremely flattering. I’m actually wearing it as I type! I have an entire list on Amazon full of dresses, and if you’ve seen me at a wedding recently I am more than likely wearing a dress I purchased on Amazon.
  • Accessories:
    • I love stud earrings, and I was looking for some alternative options because I was honestly tired of wearing the same ones all the time. I found a set of pearls, in the 8mm size, that brought 16 of them which was AMAZING for the price. Usually, I go to the Merchandise Mart, here in Miami, but this was so much easier (and I didn’t have to pay for parking).
      • These are the pearls I bought which truly were a steal, and then I bought the two November birthstones in these earrings (citrine and blue topaz).
    • NCAA Football Team Sun Hat – I will not link these until after Christmas, so if you want the link for this let me know (you can comment, email, or message me on IG), but I bought my cousin her college alma mater in a sun hat for her birthday. We’re talking like Tommy Bahama-style sun hat, with her team on it. It was such a hit that I thought about getting it for my cousins for Christmas. (hence why I won’t link it right now). It was such a hit, I bought myself one too!
    • Bracelets
      • I have bought A LOT of bracelets on Amazon, but these specific styles were a huge hit. First I got my aunt some for her birthday, which I’ve linked before, and then I got myself some for a wedding. I also bought my friend Bess a set and got some different ones for me as well. Here are the links to a few of the styles I got: one / two / three / four / five. I think they’ll make a great gift for someone’s birthday or even Christmas.
    • Socks
      • Bombas – If you have not heard of Bombas, you’re probably living under a rock. This company is like TOM Shoes, but for socks. For every pair of socks you buy, Bombas donates.
        • I have purchased several of their no-show socks, which I wear with my Golden Goose all the time (this alone is a selling point). They’re so comfortable and best of all, they don’t show! I also bought these cute tie-dye ones, because why not?
      • Disney Crew Socks – I saw someone post about these socks on Instagram, so I immediately bought them for my trip to Disney. I go to the parks so often (hello, Annual Passholder here) that I thought they’d be a cute addition, even if I don’t wear a themed shirt. I will say EVERYONE complimented me on them when I wore them, and I can’t wait to wear them again.
    • Floral Pearl Headband – I really wanted a Lele Sadoughi headband, but I refuse to pay the price, so I found this beauty on Amazon and I’ve worn it so many times. I also get so many compliments on it, I really should invest in another.

Tech Products

If you know me, you know that I love to buy gadgets (I definitely get this from my mother). I am the techie in the family and I am always buying more crap I don’t need, but I want anyway. Here are all the Tech/Electronic related purchases I’ve made on Amazon lately:

  • Since I bought my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I have only bought my cases on Amazon. This is something I normally didn’t do, but I recently discovered that the selection and the prices are literally unbeatable. Best of all, the quality is insanely good. Here are some of the ones I have purchased since I got my new phone:
    • MagSafe compatible
      • Clear MagSafe iPhone 14 Pro Max Case
        • I actually just bought this for my mom AND dad as well
      • Purple MagSafe iPhone 14 Pro Max Case
    • Bright & Colorful
      • Royal Blue iPhone 14 Pro Max Case
      • Hot Pink iPhone 14 Pro Max Case
        • My aunt just bought herself one of these too, it’s so easy to find your phone in your purse with this case.
    • Disney Themed
  • Anker / PopSockets MagSafe charger
    • I have the Apple MagSafe charger, but that didn’t stop me from getting this one as well. I love that it has the Popsocket, which honestly is worth it on its own, but the price is a much better price point than the Apple one.
  • AirPod Max Accessories – I bought my AirPod Max in July during Prime Day, which was an insane steal, and since then I’ve been buying accessories to protect them! I bought the AirPod Max Handle Cover, and the AirPod Max Protective Ear Cup Covers (Clear), and even got a pair of AirPod Max Earpad Replacements for when mine become super dirty and need to be swapped (which they are on their way to becoming). The accessories are at such a great price point that I always recommend people buy them here before Apple.
  • AirPod Pro case (Mickey & Minnie with Lanyard) – I needed a case for my AirPod Pros that had a lanyard so I could stop losing them in my bag. What I didn’t realize was that this lanyard came in handy on trips and at the office as well! Plus, it’s Disney – is there anything cuter?
  • When Apple came out with the dual USB-C wall charger, I knew I needed to get one. I just did not want to pay the money, so I found this one on Amazon and it’s worked GREAT for me.
  • Kindle Paperwhite (10th Generation) Transparent Cover – I am not really sure why I bought a Kindle when I love to read a physical book, but I bought one. Since mine was blue, I didn’t want to buy a case that looked like an iPad cover because I wanted to show the back, so I found this clear one and it works great. Plus it protects it from when I accidentally drop it.
  • Portable/Hand Fan with Rechargeable USB charger – I bought 3 portable fans over the summer, but I found this one recently and had to buy it. I mean it can also charge your phone if you need it!! Who doesn’t love a multipurpose item?

Books / Office

  • Ironically, I said I would not buy any more books until I got through at least half the ones I have waiting for me at home…clearly, that did not last long. I just bought the following books to read, and added them to the growing pile next to my bed:
    • Verity Hardcover – Special Edition >> I actually read this over the summer, but Colleen Hoover added a bonus chapter so I had to buy it. I’m planning to re-read the entire book (because it seriously left me shaken the first time).
    • The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – I love Taylor Jenkins Reid. I’ve read three of her other books, and hope to read all the other books she’s written as well. This one has been on my list for a while, and the more I see people read it the more I wanted to read it so I bit the bullet.
    • The Bodyguard – my friend Bess highly recommended this book, so I bought it and will be reading it soon. I have a few more books before this one on my pile, but it’s definitely a priority.
    • Ride of a Lifetime – as a former Disney Cast Member, I knew I had to read this book and boy did it not disappoint. If you get the chance, I highly recommend this book by former Disney CEO, Bob Iger. I also highly recommend his Masterclass. This man is a genius, and I would LOVE to study his brain.
    • Creativity, Inc.: Overcoming the Unseen Forces That Stand in the Way of True Inspiration – this one came highly recommended by one of my mentors. He told me if I liked Ride of a Lifetime that I would LOVE this book. I love reading these kinds of books, especially because I definitely see myself moving toward the creative side of this industry so the more I learn the more I get to explore.
    • Lessons in Chemistry – this is actually being adapted for Apple TV Plus, and Jackie Oshry from the recently rebranded podcast, The Morning Toast (now the Toast) had it in her book club so I bought it.
    • Notebooks
      • To Do List Notebook: No Prob Llama – I mean, this is pretty self-explanatory isn’t it? I needed a notebook for work where I could list my to-do’s and this one works perfectly, plus it’s cute!
      • Ban.do One Day at a Time – I love Ban.do notebooks, and this was such a cute one that I had to buy it and stick it in the pile of notebooks I have LOL
    • Pens – these pens are honestly very aesthetically pleasing, and best of all they write great.

Miscellaneous

I wanted to name this category “Miscellaneous shit I didn’t need, but bought anyway” but I just went with Miscellaneous instead. It has a bunch of random shit mixed together because I didn’t know how else to describe them. Honestly, I didn’t need half the shit in this entire post, but like I mentioned before I am addicted to Amazon, so here we are.

  • Gel Nail Polish Remover – I definitely did not need this, since they take my polish off for me at the salon, but I knew that if there ever came a day when I couldn’t make it to the salon I still needed to have this around just in case. It works like a charm and it’s easy. I absolutely hate doing the tin foil thing, so this is definitely a must-have if you too hate that.
  • MEDS Travel Pouch – as obsessed as I am with Stoney Clover, I saw this on Amazon and decided to bite the bullet. I always travel with my medicine in a mini pouch from SCL, but this is so much better. I love that it’s titled specifically for the item I am going to stick in it. The price point is also amazing, which makes this a great gift for Christmas, Birthdays, etc.
  • Crack Repair Kit – I saw this on TikTok as the resolution for a cracked Apple Watch. I always bump my watch into things so I figured I would buy it and try it when I got a scratch. Worst case, I have Apple Care.
  • 7-in-1 Airpod Pro Cleaner Kit – I bought this more for my MacBook than my AirPods, but I love that it works for both. Best of all, it comes with a multipurpose cleaning spray to clean things with. So far I have used it like crazy, so I would say this is a great tool to have.
  • Minions Mug – I actually use this at home for my pens as a pencil/pen holder. It’s just SO FREAKING CUTE.
  • Minions ID badge holder – I was tired of my Jurrasic Park lanyard, so I went with another Universal-themed movie. It’s so cute, and the price is great.
  • I am supposed to be training for the full Marathon (I really need to get to it), so I’ve gotten a handful of things for the training:
  • Sunglass Organizer – I bought FOUR of these I liked it so much. This eight-slot sunglass holder/organizer is amazing. It’s also so chic that it fits right in with the rest of the stuff in my room. I love it. I highly, highly, recommend it.
