New Year, New Books to Read

Last year, with 2020 being what it was, I was no where near the reading goal I set for myself. Some days I binged three books in three days, other days it took me weeks just to turn the corner on the first chapter. This year, I plan to push through all of that and read fifty books. It’s going to be the year I finally hit my goal, if it’s the last thing I do.

I have this compulsion where I buy books to read, without getting through the at least fifty books I already have lined up. My room is surrounded in books to read. Currently, I’m reading Royal Holiday. Book four of five by Jasmine Guillory. Next up will be book five of five, Party of Two. Once I finish these two, I have about 100 more to go!

Here is the list of the books I have on deck (by on deck, I literally mean scattered throughout the room):

  1. Anxious People – Fredrick Backman
  2. The Best of Me – David Sedaris
  3. Act Like a Lady: Questionable Advice, Ridiculous Opinions, and Humiliating Tales from Three Undignified Women – Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, Jac Vanek

Those are just the books I have scattered across my room to be read once I finish the Jasmine Guillory ones. On top of those, I have an insane wish list! You can check it out on my Goodreads, but here’s just a few on the list as well:
