My Latest Shopping Spree
After the last shopping post, you would think I would be taking a shopping break but that is definitely not the case. I love to shop and almost immediately upon receiving all of the packages from the last post, I placed new orders (insert laughing emoji here). Here’s a recap of everything I’ve purchased, and received up to this point.
The first thing I did, to be honest, was immediately place a new SKIMS order. You know that I love the pajamas, and I immediately put them on when I received them, so I had to get more. I ordered the purple, shorts set, with the 3-pack of the tanks and boxers. I actually just washed the cherries pajamas and put them back on (I love them THAT much). I did a full SKIMS related post here that you can check out.
The next order to discuss was my Amazon one. One of my New Years goals was to try pilates, which I have (twice now) so I had to place an order for a set of Pilates socks. I loved the ones I got at Target and TJ Maxx, but you can’t beat the price on Amazon. Next, I ordered the e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration! lip mask, e.l.f. No Budge Retractable Eyeliner (in Brown), SHEGLAM PoutPerfect (the perfect Tarte maracuja lip dupe), and the e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil. These were all influences from different TikTok videos, but I am glad I ordered them because I’ve loved using them this week. Then, of course, as soon as the Kansas City Chiefs made the Super Bowl I placed an order for a “In my Kielce Era” t-shirt to go with my KC hat from last year. I actually CANNOT wait for the Super Bowl to wear this adorable tee.
The next purchase I made was from Dicks Sporting Goods. I bought my aunt the cutest Miami Hurricanes jean jacket for Christmas, and I have been looking for a Gator one ever since. Color me surprised, Dick’s had a super cute on from Erin Andrew’s brand and it was on super sale. Immediately purchased it and it came in the next day! I know it’s not College Football season, but I might have to wear it just because since it’s so freaking cute.
Last week I posted about the Tiger and Eloise purchases I had made. I had to exchange the sizes for this order, which arrived last night. So, to provide better context, the Stoney Clover Lane x Tiger and Eloise the Everyday T-shirt had to be sized up from a M to a L (and I most likely could have gotten an XL for an oversized fit) and the Stoney Clover Lane x Tiger and Eloise Oversized Crewneck had to be sized down to a S from a M. The sweatpants are still sold out, but as soon as they come back in stock, I will be placing an order. I’m actually trying to keep myself from ordering the Everyday T-Shirt in gray.
Additionally, I placed a Target order for some tops that are apparently a SKIMS dupe from the Wild Fable line. I bought them in all four colors that they sell, although I did size up since Wild Fable is a Junior’s line, and I’m obsessed with them. I love how they fit, which is the only problem I had with the SKIMS version. I love SKIMS, as you know, but I despise CROPPED shit and the SKIMS version doesn’t hit me the same way these do so Target >> SKIMS for these specific shirts.
Last week, I had my annual vision check up and I ordered some new reading glasses which arrived TODAY! I am so excited because they are very retro/70s and remind me of my grandpas. I literally went to pick them up almost immediately after my doctors office called to tell me they arrived. I also left my readers from last year with them so they could fix the frames (thankfully they were under warranty) and replace the lenses with the new prescription. I am tired of having one pair of readers that I constantly have to take in and out of my purse for work. I made the mistake last year to forget to transfer my reading glasses out of my purse and back into my work bag, and let’s just say I was miserable the entire day at the office. Here’s a cute selfie I took rocking my new frames and the Tiger & Eloise crewneck I mentioned earlier (SOOO COMFY).
Another purchase I made was for my best friend, Jonathan’s, wedding in Mexico later this month. As I started to make my packing list (more on that in another post) I realized that I probably do not fit in the bathing suits I have, given I have lost 75 pounds in the last year. So I placed a re-order for the Aerie bathing suit I absolutely love (I own it in four, maybe more, colors but in a size L) and then I ordered two from JcPenny (aerie, Forever21xJcPenny black, Forever21xJcPenny flora). The JcPenny ones are adorable and surprisingly, they’re Forever21 for JcPenny! All three were absolute YES once I tried them on, which is amazing. I’m just missing, maybe, one more? I have one in my Amazon cart that I’ll be ordering soon.
I also ordered two more (dress a / dress b) dresses for Jonathan’s wedding, because I was totally influenced by someone on Instagram, despite already having the dress I thought I was going to wear. My mom also ordered me a pair of strappy block sandals for the wedding that I wanted to try, since it’s going to be on a beach and I can’t wear stilettos. All three are from Amazon (because duh).
And finally, the last two purchases I’ve made were done yesterday and today. First, I bought a pair of high rise flare jeans that I saw on Instagram from JcPenny (that I cannot wait to try on) and secondly, I bought the “Go Sports” sweatshirt from Favorite Daughter. I saw this on NotSKinnyButNotFat’s Amanda Hirsch and I had to have it. I’m hoping that it’ll be chilly out for the Super Bowl so I can wear it with my Kielce era t-shirt.

My Best Friend’s Wedding: Mexico Edition – Kristen, but Call Me KJ
February 14, 2024 at 10:34 am
[…] The weekend events have a very strict dress code, so for the Welcome Party it’s white and the Wedding is black. I’ve borrowed a dress from my older sister for the Welcome Party and I ordered a dress on Amazon for the Wedding (this was on my last haul post). […]
