Current Goals

I honestly have no idea what my goals are anymore; especially with the COVID pandemic, everything I originally wanted for this year has gone to shit. I know that I shouldn’t be complaining, because I am extremely fortunate to still have a job — especially because of how much is still fluctuating due to the spikes in COVID cases in Miami. I do have a few goals that can be accomplished, even with the currently pandemic situation, I just haven’t felt motivated enough to get them done. I’ve rounded up five of the goals that are still somewhat doable in today’s current state:

  1. Lose another 20 pounds; finally getting to my goal weight
  2. Read 52 books this year (I am seriously slacking on this one; I am going to force myself to get my shit together and catchup if its the last thing I do). Because of the lack of motivation I’ve been feeling, I decided to cut this number down to 40+ books. I am still seriously behind schedule, but hopefully 40 is more attainable. We shall see!
  3. PR on my half marathon (if it’s not cancelled, because of course the COVID pandemic keeps messing up our plans — this of course can be carried over to 2021 if it has to).
  4. BEAT MY ROSACEA! I actually went to the dermatologist today for this, and hopefully with the medicine she prescribed and the tips she gave me this can actually be attained before the “end of the summer” — I say that with quotations because I do live in Florida and the summer weather could last 365 days!
  5. Go to NYC for Enzo’s birthday in December. Honestly, this is the biggest goal I actually want to attain (for obvious reasons). I haven’t been to NYC in a few years, but it’s extremely special for me to go specifically for Enzo’s birthday. New York City is the only place that I got to go with Enzo before he was born sleeping. New York has always been my happy place, and I hope to one day be able to live there (even if it’s for a short period of time). This year is Enzo’s seventh birthday and I truly want to spend it in New York where I feel most connected with him. I try to be somewhere that is not FLORIDA for his birthday, and this year might be a little complicated but I’ll have to figure something out. I can’t not do something special for him.
