Everything I Bought While at Disney, for Myself
Last week, I went to Orlando for my godson’s sixth birthday at Disney World. While I was there, I made sure to grab everything I saw that I wanted (since they seem to sell out of everything so quickly!). I did a video on my TikTok of these purchases, but I wanted to do a blog post as well, because I am so excited about them.
Create Your Own Headband
The “Create Your Own Headband” was the absolute highest priority merchandise purchase for this Disney trip.
Regardless of what I did while I was in Orlando, I was going to go get my headband, even if it killed me! I did have to wait a whole day to do it, but once I did, I didn’t look back. The minute the bus landed at Disney Springs I ran straight to the newly reimagined Disney Ever After store to buy my headband.
So how does this “Create Your Own Headband” thing work? What characters are there? Which did I pick? Let’s discuss.
This super unique Disney character headband allows you to choose your favorite Disney character plush, and you can definitely mix and match characters, to create your own personalized masterpiece.
It is quite simple to do and only takes a handful of steps:
- Get a headband
- Choose a mini plush accessory (or multiple!)
- Attach plush to headband
- PURCHASE AND ENJOY
The headband, itself, costs $9.99 and the mini plush heads are $11.99 each. At this moment, due to demand and popularity, there is a limitation on how many plush heads you can purchase at one time. This, hopefully, will go away eventually.
The characters that are available for you to choose from are:
- Mickey
- Minnie
- Donald
- Daisy
- Chip
- Dale
- Pooh
- Tigger
- Stitch
- Buzz Lightyear
- Green Alien s
- Lots-o-Huggin’ Bear
Disneyland has some of the Inside Out characters for sale already, so hopefully those will make their way over to Disney World soon. Typically, we get what Disneyland has two or three months after their debut on the West Coast.
In the meantime, I did get two of the following (this way I could mix and match): Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, and Tigger.
Next trip I take up to Orlando, I plan to get three of the Green Aliens, and then eventually I would like to get Donald and Daisy, potentially Buzz too.
However, if the Inside Out characters come, those will take priority. I will definitely be getting Sadness and Anxiety, potentially Anger too.
This headband is going to be the gift (to myself) that keeps on giving. I already foresee myself buying ALL the plush heads over time.
Accessories
On another note, there are a few more accessories I purchased on this trip:
2024 Disney Parks Winnie the Pooh Tigger Plush Crossbody
As you know, I absolutely LOVE Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. The minute I finished building my new headband, I started to peruse the rest of the Disney Ever After store. Upon turning the corner, I found my holy grail: the WINNIE THE POOH MERCH!!! Included in that merch: the Tigger Plush Crossbody bag! AHHH. Immediate YES. Add to basket. Purchasing immediately. No hesitations whatsoever.
Disney Friendship Bracelet
At Epcot, I purchased my best friend and I matching “Disney” bracelets. They are absolutely adorable, with colorful Mickey heads and the word “Disney” spelled out.
Disney Charm Bracelet
Also at Epcot, I noticed that there were some charm bracelets for sale. I picked the Tinkerbell/Magic Kingdom bracelet as my base and then I bought two individual charm sets for it: the Winnie the Pooh charms and the Sorcerer Mickey charms. I love charm bracelets, and I actually got some vintage ones from an Instagram sale recently, and I ordered more of them on SHEIN. Clearly, this purchase is going to contribute to my growing collection.
Clothing
Pooh Big Face Graphic T-shirt
Technically, I already had this shirt. However, I did need to get a smaller size so I took it with me to see if I could find it in a smaller size. Spoiler alert: I DID. I was so happy. Granted, it is in a small and I prefer medium for an oversized fit, but whatever. It fits, it’s cute, I can’t wait to wear it next (with my new headband of course).
Tigger Big Face Graphic T-shirt
Same situation as the Pooh shirt. Technically, speaking, I already had this shirt, but I needed a size medium. This one I did get in the right size, so I’m thrilled, and cannot wait to wear it with my new headband. Don’t be surprised if I wear this on my trip at the end of August with the Tigger socks, my new headband and the Tigger plush crossbody (am I overdoing it, probably, but whatever).
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Passholder Exclusive T-Shirt
I, luckily, got to ride the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride while I was in Disney so, of course, I had to commemorate the experience by getting the passholder exclusive t-shirt! The ride was so cute and fun, and the shirt is even cuter. I was also very excited the beignets finally made their way to Disney World too! THEY WERE SO GOOD.
Peace. Love. Mickey Women’s T-shirt
Another viral product I was thrilled to have found for myself on this trip is the Peace, Love, Mickey Women’s t-shirt. It has the cutest girly details on the sleeves and trim of the t-shirt and will be absolutely adorable with some denim shorts.
Best Day Ever Figment Epcot T-shirt
This is one of the newer graphic t-shirts I found while I was at Epcot, and I love Figment, so it was an immediate yes. It says “Best Day Ever” on it, with Figment, and the Epcot ball on it. It’s absolutely adorable and when the “Create Your Own Headband” starts selling Figment plush heads, I will buy them to wear with this top! I probably will get the Figment ears that are for sale now, anyway, but I definitely want the plush heads as well!
Disney Parks “Goofy Movie” T-shirt
This is a t-shirt I saw last time I went to Disney World and could not stop thinking about. Usually, if there’s a product I can’t stop thinking about and it’s still in stock when I return, I buy it. I loved the Goofy Movie as a kid, and I love Max Goof so much. It’s such a fun t-shirt, and it will be styled with bike shorts, making the entire look very 90’s. I don’t think I’ll be waiting to wear this in Disney, either. I will probably wear it this week in Miami LOL
Personalized Coca-Cola Can
Another thing I knew I would be doing during this Disney trip was customizing my own Diet Coke can! I was so excited when I realized that I could do this, after seeing it on TikTok, and then I had the amazing idea of getting my dad his own Coke Zero for his birthday! They came out absolutely adorable and I had to lecture my dad that he is NOT allowed to drink the Coke Zero. It’s for decoration ONLY (let’s see if he listens!). They truly came out adorable and I cannot wait to go back and make more LOL I foresee myself making several versions of these, just to continue to grow the collection!
& that’s a wrap!
Check out the video on my TikTok where I show the merch haul. I also did a blog post about the new Lightning Lane Multi/Single Pass that went live while I was there, you can check that out here.
