This morning I woke up with the strongest desire to do something nice for my boss, a coworker, and my best friend who have all had birthday’s within the last week and haven’t been celebrated the way they should be. While searching for a reasonable way to send a bottle of alcohol, I stumbled upon a website called Drizly. Here I found a online liquor store that delivered, except it’s not just ONE liquor store. It’s actually more like an “UberEats” type of website or app, that you place an order on and looking at inventory in the area which you want to deliver for the most affordable option.
Honestly, the best part was that the prices were NOT marked up whatsoever. I was able to find the bottle of champagne I was looking for for the EXACT price my older sister told me she had seen it for. Delivery fee was extremely reasonable, for me it was $4.99, and the best part? My friends could get it within 60 minutes or less, or they could schedule their own delivery based on their availability. Obviously they’re all at home right now, so I let them choose their delivery times (knowing my friends, they are either napping or working so I wanted to be fair).
