Down the Shopping Rabbit Hole
I have gone down a shopping rabbit hole the past two weeks; I can’t even list everything I’ve bought because I don’t remember! I’m almost positive there were some unconscious shopping sprees done in the middle of my slumber.
Since, off the top of my head, I can’t remember what I bought, I am going to open up my PayPal, AfterPay, Klarna, and e-mail inbox and list everything I’ve bought. Here we go (NGL, I am slightly anxious to see what this list entails).
- Etsy:
- All over Instagram I’ve been seeing people rocking these chunky resin rings straight from the 90’s, and since I couldn’t resist I bought several of them. Two from ShopSlimeJewelry
- When I went to Paris, in 2019, I had a denim jacket made in the Downtown Disney District with my last name embroidered on it. Along with the embroidery, I had some Disney patches added to it. Of course this meant that I needed more patches to add to the jacket, so I picked up two from Etsy shop Trimandfinal. They should be arriving in the next day or so, and I’m so excited because we’re going to Disney in April. I’ll have to make sure to iron them on before we go!
- OK, another 90’s trend is back, CROCS! I bought, on a whim, a pair of slides from Crocs and along with that, I went onto Etsy and found the cutest jibbitz to decorate my new slides. I didn’t just buy one or two though, no. I bought like 10. The one from SwaccessoriesStore arrived today, and I have more coming from MinnieLeeAndRosie
- Peace Love World on QVC
- A month or so ago, I bought some workout leggings from PLW off of QVC. Last week, I was browsing Instagram and a few people I followed posted some new PLW goodies. Of course, I’m a sucker for PLW and I bought two flowy tops and a cardigan from them. Two of the three should arrive sometime this week.
- Famous Footwear
- The previously mentioned croc slides were on sale at Famous Footwear, so I of course couldn’t resist.
- Mariella Vilar
- Mariella is cousins with my best friend, and she makes the cutest monogramed/hand painted straw handbags. My best friend gifted me one on her bachelorette weekend, and I love to use it during the summer months. She recently restocked her “Sol Saver” hats and I absolutely had to have one. It should be arriving right around the start of summer.
- Oribe Shampoo
- As if I needed more shampoo/conditioners in my life, I found the large Oribe Shampoo/Conditioner (I’m talking 33.7 oz sizes) for a literal steal. This sizes of Oribe shampoo usually costs $161 per bottle. I’m talking $161 for the shampoo and another $161 for the conditioner. Well, I found both for $134. TWO FOR LESS THAN THE PRICE OF ONE. I mean, come on. How could I not take advantage?
- Nordstrom/Saks Fifth Avenue
- I’ve mentioned before, both on social media and here in the blog, about my newest obsession with the Guerlain Abeille Royale line. I had purchased the small size “watery youth oil” before my trip to Utah, and I became obsessed. Of course, I splurged on the largest size and then while I was at it, I bought the large size moisturizer, and the eye serum from the same line. So far I’m just obsessed as I am with those products, as I am with the oil. So much so I have convinced my best friend to jump on the gravy train as well. I’m dying for the Guerlain store in Epcot to be open so I can send my friends in to buy me my new favorites with their employee discounts (oops!)
- Intermix
- I’ve been on a hunt for a pair of jean shorts that fit me now, but will still fit when I continue to lose weight. Well, I found them. Frame has these elastic waste “Paper bag” style shorts. I bought them at Intermix, but I found them on Frame’s direct website on sale.
- Investment Pieces
- Finally, I’m going to talk about the two (technically three) investment pieces I splurged on recently.
- First, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM in the classic LV “monogram” print. I have been wanting this bag for years. Literal, years. I finally splurged this year and I am honestly thrilled.
- Second, I purchased the Louis Vuitton, Clémence wallet with the classic monogram print and fuchsia details to match the Neverfull PM bag, with fuchsia details I had purchased.
- The next, and honestly final (at least for a while), is the Prada 2005 Re-Edition bag. This bag is definitely going to be a long-lasting investment piece; Prada re-released a “Re-Edition” of their iconic Prada nylon bag of 2005. This bag though, includes a coordinated pouch that attaches to the shoulder strap. What I loved most was that it’s something that can be worn in different ways thanks to the adjustable shoulder strap and chain handle. I know of three ways to wear it, right off the bat: 1) shoulder bag 2) cross-body bag 3) waist bag. It’s literally iconic.
