Currently…

This week has kicked my ass. Monday I got the first of two COVID vaccine shots. Work was insanely busy this week, and felt like it dragged forever (yet it still felt productive AF). Now it’s the weekend and I am ready to vegetate. I desperately need to clean my room, I also have to return things I bought, and I want to focus on reading. I’ve noticed that when work is insanely busy my reading suffers; since I barely was one book ahead in the challenge I need to get back into it.

I did do something so “un-KJ’ this week! I’m very proud of how un-KJ it was. What is it you ask? I got a gel “French” manicure with PINK tips! If you know me personally, you know that I am super boring when it comes to my manicure/pedicure. I don’t do anything too crazy. I stick to a color scheme: white (funny bunny), black, burgundy, navy blue, etc. (essentially, funny bunny or dark shades). There really is no in-between for me. However, I truly love this look and I’m so happy I went for it! Here’s a peak 🙂

I’m also super excited because in roughly a month, we are going back to Disney! It’ll be the first time I go to Disney this year, which is NOT ok, so I need to catch up. Best part is that I’ll be fully vaccinated and most likely in the clear from the two weeks they tell you to wait before meeting up with people without masks and socially distancing. I can’t wait. I miss and love Disney so very much. I’m even more excited that Disneyland is reopening because so many of my friends who are Cast Members will be able to have jobs again! First step at getting back to normal. I’m also totally, and selfishly, excited because I’ll be able to buy my makeup and perfumes in France at Epcot. Boy do I miss those little boutiques (and my discount LOL).

Typically that is the weekend I go for the Star Wars half marathon, but this year, because it was still virtual I decided not to participate. I can’t wait to be able to go back to LIVE RunDisney races. Virtual is fun and all, but it’s not the same.

I finally got around to watching the Britney Spears documentary. I’m completely blown away by it; I truly hope that the #FreeBritney movement is an exaggeration and that she is not experiencing the things they claimed. I’ve been a Britney Spears fan since I was 8 years old. I absolutely adore her; she was my first real concert (with LFO as her opening act – OMG they were HAWT). I’ve actually seen every concert she’s brought to Miami, except for two: her encore Circus tour and her encore Vegas residency tour (I saw her residency in Vegas). To this day, I will forever be her #1 fan.

My sisters keep asking me if I plan to watch the Megan/Harry interview, but I don’t have an interest in it. I’m a fan of Prince Harry, but I don’t necessarily care about the drama going on with the Royal Family. Of course, being on the outside, we really don’t know what went down; but I really don’t care enough to binge it. I am an Oprah fan though.

Sunday is Daylight Savings Time and the Grammys. Usually the Grammys are one of my favorite award shows, but with the last year and the shit show that became of it I’m not as interested in the nominees. Today, especially, I was disappointed by the New Music Friday releases.
