I have officially gone crazy. Yes, I most definitely have. We are currently on June 14th, and I’ve already read SEVEN books since June 1st. I was on a roll this weekend. Since I clocked out Friday, around 4 (YAY for Summer Friday’s), through last night I read three full books. Last night I started, but have not really made much of a dent into the fourth book in 96 hours and eighth book this month. Because of how successful I was this weekend with my reading, I bumped up my 2021 reading challenge to 50 books…Unfortunately that increase put me behind schedule, but with the completion of the third book this weekend I am back on track.

Of course, once I posted my Skin/Makeup products, I added a new product to the bunch! I have been using the NARS tinted moisturizer now when I go into the office. It’s so light weight, with great coverage, you don’t even realize you have anything on! Totally loving it. I also went back in time and bought Chelsea Girl by NARS. I will never forget when I was in eighth grade and Hilary Duff said in an interview, probably for Cosmo or Cosmo Girl, that it was her favorite “go to” lip gloss. I was instantly transfixed. Back then it came in a round tube and your hands would get sticky if you didn’t use a lip brush, but now it comes in the standard NARS Lip Gloss tube. Total upgrade in my opinion.

I also went to Sephora this weekend and bought a bunch of random shit I have had on my list, but never got around to getting. First was, Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick – Look of Love Collection in Nude Romance. I originally wanted to get this when I bought the NARS stuff, but they were out of stock in the color I wanted. If you noticed, I’ve gone into a nude theme between Chelsea Girl and Nude Romance. I stole my sister’s Tom Ford lipstick, and I’m looking for something similar. I also bought the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder, in a mini size, since I don’t usually use powder. I figured this would be good to start using as a setting powder when I do wear full makeup.

I finally caved and bought the Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Body Butter, in the Medium shade. I have the drops, but I wanted something that would naturally tan my legs and arms since I truly do hate going out in the sun. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll float in the pool for a few hours but unless I’m laying on the beach on the West Coast of Florida, I try to avoid going out. It’s just not my thing. So between this body butter and the drops, I’m hoping to make a difference. I did buy the tanning mitt, TBD on whether I actually need it though.

I’ve been going into the office twice a week now for a few weeks. I have loved it so much and I truly get so much done. I figured out how to finally connect my AirPods to my PC which has truly been game changing (especially since I’m taking meetings from my desk, versus a conference room). I also figured out how to stream my Apple Music online so I’m super excited. I had never, EVER, drained my AirPods battery before so when I did it twice in the same day I knew it really truly was game changing.

This weekend I am heading back up to Orlando, really just for Friday night so I can hang out with my friend Tina and hit up Blizzard Beach. I’m so excited, I haven’t been back since early May and now that the world is returning to normal I want to go back once a month like the first year after I had moved back home. I love Orlando so much, definitely could see myself returning there but I am still totally obsessed with my job and that requires me to be here in Miami.

I have two and a half weeks until the wedding, so I’m in planning mode. I have made my hair appointment, both for the day of the wedding and my highlights the day before, I’m looking for a make up artist, I have narrowed my outfit to two dresses, and we have the hotel booked. I’m exited to get dressed up, it’s been a hot minute since we last celebrated a wedding and got all fancy. On the diet front, I’m about a pound away from having lost ten pounds in the three and a half weeks I’ve been dieting. It is progress, but we have got a long way to go. At least another 35-40 pounds to go. Wish me luck!
