I read SEVEN books in the month of April. Aren’t you proud, because I sure as hell am! Now it’s officially May and I need to get back on my reading binge and keep the stats going. I’m going to read Anxious People next. I’ve heard great things, which always makes me excited.
Mother’s Day is this weekend, and I get to spend it however the hell I want this year. I haven’t been able to do that in years, so it’s something I am definitely looking forward to. It’s the last trigger holiday for a while, which means I’m going to let myself have all the feels for a change.
On a much happier note, I can officially confirm I have been accepted to FIU’s Master of International Business program and I am so extremely excited for the fall to come! I have always loved learning so having this opportunity to do something new and completely out of the ordinary for me is exhilarating. Now I just need to apply for every scholarship I could find to be able to pay for it! SO MUCH FUN.
I am currently at my parents house visiting my dad and watching my police of a little sister boss him around. It’s very entertaining and amusing, especially since she has become a mini version of my mother. She doesn’t like when I say that about her, but it’s so true. Tomorrow is “Cinco de Drinko” which means Mexican food for me and lots of tequila for my cousin and dad. Since my mom and aunt are in Turkey, it’s going to be a low-key affair. I am actually looking forward to it because I throughly enjoy the restaurant we’re planning to order from. The family size meals are build your own so it’s all I want to eat portions and I can build the taco exactly how I like it.
I have been exploring the idea of flip flopping my closets. Moving the plastic bins full of clothes into my actual closet and put my shoes in the front closet where the bins originally were. I feel like it will make the back closet more organized since it’s open, and it’ll disclose my insane amount of shoes in the front closet that actually has doors. That is what I’m thinking of spending my weekend doing. Also potentially reorganizing my bathroom organizations as well. I tend to flip my room and stuff around several times a year, and this weekend is one where I’ll need to kill time so why not?
Additionally, starting Monday I am going back on a diet and I need to get back into walking/running so I can start training for the half marathon in January. I’m hoping by then RunDIsney will be back to in-person events and I can attempt to hit a personal record for the first time in four years. I actually have been wanting to start rollerblading on the weekends and walking at least three times a week. So here is to my 17th attempt to get back into the groove of healthy living!
