Adios, 2021!

Yesterday I received the BEST belated Christmas gift from my boss! I was awarded my third GEM award, three years in a row. For those who are new, a GEM award is NBCUniversal’s “Going the Extra Mile” award. I received my first one 11 months into my career with NBCUniversal/Telemundo, my second one was awarded to me just after my promotion last year (right around my birthday, coincidentally), and now Christmas 2021! I am still on cloud nine.

The holidays are most definitely the hardest time of the year for me, and this year was no less difficult, but I’ve survived with lots of junk food and cheesy lifetime movies. With New Years this weekend, I’m relatively hopeful and I haven’t felt that way in a long time. don’t plan to do anything for NYE, which is just how I like it, but I still feel like that’s they way I’m meant to spend it. My parents are in Colorado and my older sister is going on a cruise, so it’s time for me to vegetate. Next weekend is a busy on with the half marathon at Disney and my friend coming into Miami to visit. I’m excited to see what 2022 brings.
