Utah, Here We Come!
In 24 hours, I will be freezing my Florida born and raised ass in Utah. From the last text I received from my sisters, we’re going to be frozen. Apparently it feels like negative zero degrees (eek!). Despite knowing very well that I am going to freeze my white girl ass, I’m still excited. I’m excited to be getting out of Florida. COVID has taken a toll on me, and I can’t be in this house any longer!
I packed my suitcase on Monday, somehow fitting in everything, except my parka and Patagonia, in my carryon! I’ve always been a great packer, but even that is a miracle. My little sister and I are sharing the Medium sized Away suitcase, for the heavy stuff (aka my parka and Patagonia), and then we’re using our Away carry on’s for everything else. I technically have three Away’s: the smaller carry on, the bigger carry on with pocket (which will house my laptop), and the medium away. Best suitcases ever. Seriously.
It took me the longest time to figure out what it was I was taking in the first place, but finally on Monday I sat down and sorted through everything. Taking what I had been piling up on the couch, and leaving stuff that I didn’t think I’ll need. If I left something behind, I’ll buy it there or I’ll steal from my sisters (isn’t that what sisters are for?).
