Rediscovering KJ: A Blog Reintroduction You Don’t Want to Miss

It’s been a while since I introduced myself and the more, I share on my social media platforms, the more I think I need to do a re-introduction.

My name is KJ, though you may also know me as Kristen. I am so excited to welcome you to my little corner of the internet.

If you’re into Disney magic, literary escapes, fabulous fashion, and all things pop culture, you’ve come to the right place!

I am 100% a proud Disney adult, who embraces the magic of fairy tales and the thrill of theme parks with the enthusiasm of a kid at heart. I love to celebrate joy and the wonder of the most magical (and happiest) place on Earth.

Books are my sanctuary. I’m an enormous book lover who finds solace and adventure between the pages. From classics to the latest bestsellers (including BookTok), I’m always on the hunt for the next compelling read that’ll whisk me away to new worlds and ideas.

When it comes to beauty and fashion, I believe in the art of self-expression. I love experimenting with trends, discovering new products, and sharing tips on how to feel confident and chic. Fashion is not just about what you wear; it’s about how you wear it and how it makes you feel.

Pop culture is my playground. I’m constantly immersed in the latest trends, from TV shows and movies to music and memes. If it’s buzzing in the world of entertainment, you can bet I’m there, dissecting and discussing it with passion.

Lifestyle curation is my forte. I’m here to inspire you with ideas on how to make everyday life a little more magical, stylish, and fun. From travel tips to home decor, I love sharing ways to enhance your life and embrace every moment.

Above all, I’m a lover of life. I believe in savoring the little things and finding joy in every day. Life is an adventure, and I’m here to share mine with you while celebrating yours. I’ve learned that life is a collection of moments, each one adding to the story we tell. For me, that story is woven with curiosity, creativity, and a sprinkle of whimsy.

When I’m not working at Telemundo, you will probably find me reading, at Disney, shopping, or documenting my life for everyone to follow along. These moments of downtime are where I recharge and find fresh perspectives.

I believe in the power of connection and am excited to share my thoughts, experiences, and insights with you. Whether you’re here to learn more about Disney, books and reading, beauty, fashion, pop culture, or just to see what’s new, I hope you find something that resonates with you.

Here are some fun facts about me:

  1. I am a Millennial through and through. I was born in 1989 and am a true Scorpio (and proud of it)!
  2. Born and raised in Miami, FL (where I currently live, again). I did live in Orlando, for over six and a half years, while I worked at Disney ❤
  3. While at Disney, I worked at Magic Kingdom (my favorite park) along the parade route and on the steam trains (BEST. JOB. EVER). I found out I was pregnant with my angel baby, Enzo, at the exact time I transferred to Pop Century as a concierge (I still think that was Enzo looking out for Mama). After that, I found my way to Disney’s Workforce Management where I worked for the remaining five and a half years on the Compliance and Audit team. I do miss working for a mouse with a castle at the end of my street, but I love to go back (a lot).
  4. In case it wasn’t clear: I am a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder 🐭🏰💜
  5. I currently work at NBCUniversal, for Telemundo Studios, which is why I left Disney and came back to Miami. I am the Payroll Supervisor at Telemundo, working in development and production. I never expected to be in a “Finance” role, but I love my job and my team. For the last year, I had the amazing opportunity to work in new departments learning the Digital side of our company and it has been the experience of a lifetime. I’m so incredibly blessed.
  6. A lot of people might be shocked by this, but if you know me it makes total sense, I have two master’s degrees. My first master’s is in Human Resources and my second is in International Business.
  7. Enzo is an angel baby because he was stillborn on December 12, 2013. I remember the day Enzo’s dad and I found out he had no heartbeat like it was yesterday. Since then, I have made it a point to live my life to the fullest in his honor. I hope to make him proud in everything I do.

Thank you so much for being here and I hope you come back 🌟
