Moody, but Grateful

Today was extremely rough. It sounds so stupid to complain considering everything that is going on in the world, in the country. As I logged off from a long day of work, I received a push notification that the US now surpasses any other country in the number of deaths we have from the corona virus. How is it possible that I could complain after reading that? So what if today was stressful and I’m exhausted? At least I have a job that I not only love, but can continue to do while we stay locked up in our homes.

It is actually because of this post and this feeling that I decided to go on Pinterest and browse. I love to just go on Pinterest and re-pin things I find. It’s therapeutic in a way for me. On my Pinterest, you’ll find looks, hair inspo, beauty and makeup, but my favorite of them all are the quotes. There was one quote in particular that the moment I read it, it resonated with me and how I have been feeling that I felt the strong desire to share this with you all.

“Your current situation is giving you an opportunity to re-evaluate what you want”

– Unknown

Again, considering what the world is going through I am extremely blessed to have the opportunity to work from home. I know numerous people who aren’t afforded that same freedom right now and it’s becoming extremely difficult for them to do anything. When I started writing this post it was a total whiny post, but then I saw this quote and I thought – you know what, today was a rough day but at least I’m able to do something I love. Being home, being locked in my loft, and having to work in isolation from the rest of my team is hard and it’s boring but we are making it work. The current situation of the world is giving us all the opportunity to really take a look at our lives, and tweak the things that are within our control and can be tweaked.
