Currently…

I am currently peeling and it’s driving me insane. Granted, it’s been two weeks since I was at the beach, but I still find it to be so gross.

Anyway, that’s not how I intended on starting this post! For the eleventh week if the Currently series, I’m going to talk to you all about my latest obsession: the Cricut Explore Air 2!

I ordered it the day I got back from our week at the beach because I was sick of everyone stealing my Yeti’s (childish, I know, but it’s true). I wanted to make a cute vinyl for my Yeti’s so that my mother could stop “mistaking” mine for hers.

Little did I know that I would become so addicted that I’m cutting vinyl all day, everyday. My older sister and I are going to start a little side business, and to get the tactic down I’ve started to label everything I own. Literally. My laptop is covered in vinyls, my nail polish box is now labeled, my skincare fridge had vinyls on it, I made an iPhone case, added a vinyl to my iPad case, etc. I even made some cute designs for the different things we’re exploring to include in our business. I even put a vinyl on my new case that came with my sunglasses from the Nordstrom sale!

I’m still doing single cut vinyls, but I hope to transition into the multi-cut vinyls this weekend. I’m just being extra cautious since I don’t like to mess them up (and waste my vinyl). I’d also like to venture into card-stock, but I need to find some tutorials on them; the way I did with vinyls.

On another note, I am currently rocking some of my recent purchases from SheIn! I ordered a huge box of stuff a bit ago and it got here Thursday. I ordered two tie dye lounge sets (one shorts and one long/pants version), I also ordered two pairs of shorts, a body suit (I love their bodysuits), and the cutest babydoll dress; I also ordered five different pairs of sandals/shoes. My fluffy sandals are my favorite, but since those are to stay home in I ordered some sandals that look just like the designer versions I see all over Instagram. I also, for the first time, ventured into the sunglasses world on SheIn and I can honestly tell you, I’m obsessed. I also haven’t taken off the BuddhaGirl bracelets I bought last week; I have literally not taken them off. I sleep in them, shower in them, and obviously wear them while I work. It’s almost like they’re not there at all. I am surprised by how incredibly comfortable I find them to be.

Other purchases received since the last currently series include:
1) Amazon vases – set of five – inspired by a blog post by Blondie in the City
2) Sunglass chains for, both, my mask and actual sunglasses (I got these, these, and these)
3) Quip toothbrush – this was totally inspired by my little sister; after months of refusing I finally caved.
4) Beats Pill 2.0 – if you know me, you know I’m a HUGE Beats by Dre fan. I have the Project RED Beats Pill, which we use by the pool all the time but I’ve been dying for the upgrade; the sound and look are just so much better.
5) Our Lady of Guadalupe charm from Pearls & Twine, a local small business here in Miami. Our Lady of Guadalupe is Enzo’s Patron Saint; he was born on her feast day. She is known, today, as “Patroness of the Unborn” and we entrust to her the protection of all human life and the family which brings new life into the world. I found that comforting knowing my special child, my angel, was born on such a fitting Satin’s feast day.

I didn’t really find the Nordstrom Sale to be “all that and a bag of chips”, as one would say. I bought some Quay sunglasses I had flagged on the LikeToKnowIt app, a pair of pink leopard “cozy shorts”, and the NARS Sur La Plage Full Size Lip Balm Set. My little sister picked up some Havaianas Slim Flip Flop and I bought my aunt Sam Edelman Genesis Slide Sandal for her birthday; I did notice that my favorite pair of earrings, which I’ll probably buy another pair of today, are also on sale. I usually pick these up every time they’re on sale just in case I lose mine.
