I FINALLY FINISHED CITY OF GIRLS.

Pretty sure the book took me two full months to get through. In my opinion, it was good but not that good. My little sister and I came to the conclusion it was a very dense book, BUT I finished it. To be perfectly honest, I thought about quitting like three times but I stuck with it. Now I’m very happy to be done, and even happier that it did not put me further belong in my reading challenge. Somehow, I am still roughly one book ahead! I officially started the book, “Get a LifeChloe Brown: A Novel” and so far I am a fan of the book.

In other, non-reading related, news I purchased the solo loop/band today for my Apple Watch. I love it. I never thought I would, given it’s not very versatile but I think the minimal look is working to my advantage. I do need to buy a new bumper for around the face, mine was extremely dirty and very quickly got discarded when I swapped the band. Surprisingly, I haven’t bought another phone case since my Disney x Casetify one came in (if you know me, this is huge news – I love to change my cases). I think it is one of my favorite things I’ve gotten this year.

I also finally unpacked my suitcases from Utah, and I’m working through my laundry piles that are currently scattered around my living room area of the loft. I did the biggest pile yesterday, but then life happened and I never finished. I did however unpack and put away the ski clothes (well everything but the dry cleaning pile).

Tomorrow I get my first COVID shot. I am NOT a fan of donating blood or getting shots, so I desperately trying not to think about it. I really am such a chicken shit, sorry not sorry; but my doctor explained to me the importance of getting the shot (especially because I am asthmatic) and I will grow a pair of balls and get it. The sooner I get it over with, the better. Technically speaking the sooner everyone gets it, the better. Maybe we can actually go back to a relatively “pre-COVID normal” by the end of the year.
