I cannot believe that in 6 days it’ll be Christmas, and in 13 we’ll be in 2021! What a year 2020 has been!! Although I was one of the very few who was fortunate enough to 1) keep my job 2) get promoted and 3) win a milestone award, so many others (including close friends) were not. I have several friends, both from Disney and from my hometown , who were laid off or furloughed due to the COVID situation.

I’m really hoping that now a vaccine having been approved, that 2021 is going to be the year of redemption. Not to mention that on January 20th, we are going to officially inaugurate President Elect Joe Biden as the 46th President, which I believe will also. be one of the most impactful moments in 2021.

Work was insanely busy this week, and as we approach the end of the year it’s only going to get crazier. My Madrina walked into the room yesterday and asks me if I was done with my Christmas shopping. I literally laughed in her face. Hell yeah, I’m done. I’ve been done for several weeks. The local gifts are wrapped and under the tree, and Santa KJ mailed out the ones who are going long distance. What an enormous relief, honestly, knowing that I am done with plenty of time to spare. The only thing I have left is a gift card that I’m picking up today, and it’s because I didn’t want to get it and lose it (this is what happened to me with the Massage Envy gift card I got, I officially lost it).

I can’t wait for Christmas to pass so I can really kick off my diet and have a happy, and healthy 2021. Is there anything you’re looking forward to in the new year? I really need to think of what my “goals” are going to be.
