For this weeks “Currently…” post, we’re going to kick it off with music! If there’s something I truly love, whether it be as a pick me up, to pump it up, or to sulk in, its music. Music is definitely one of the ways into my heart.
Listening to…
1. First, let’s start with Lady Gaga’s new album Chromatica. To be 100% transparent, I have never been a big Gaga fan. I’ve like a few songs here or there, but it wasn’t until A Star Is Born that I really started to look, and hear, Gaga in a new light. My best friend, Jenny, is a die hard “Little Monster” or whatever they call her fans, but I’ve never been one. This album though, Chromatica has put her back on one of my playlists. Probably the first time, not counting A Star Is Born soundtrack, since 2011? That was the last time I liked one of her songs as much as I am liking this new album. Bringing her sound back to her original, EDM, style Chromatica is worth the listen and coming from me – that’s saying a lot.
2. Ellie Goulding. I love Ellie. My love for her only grew when she did a few songs for the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy movies. She has a new album coming out next month, and from that album I currently have four songs in my playlist. 1) Power 2) Worry About Me 3) Close to Me and recently added 4) Flux. I love them and I truly can’t wait for her new album Brightest Blue.
3. Lauv’s new album – How I’m Feeling – is just phenomenal. One of my absolute favorite songs from the album is Changes. I absolutely love it, and him. Fun fact – he dated Julia Michaels another very talented singer and songwriter!
4. Dua Lipa. Need I say more? Her new album is absolutely fire. I can’t even name just one song that I like. On the contrary, I love them all!
5. Tones & I. My little sister introduced me to this band with the song Dance Monkey and since then I’ve been hooked on their sound. I’m currently jamming to three of their new songs: 1) Ur So F**king Cool 2) Never Seen the Rain and 3) Bad Child.
6. Joyner Lucas “Will” Remix ft. Will Smith. Okay, this song gives me all the feels. I freaking LOVE Will Smith, and when I first heard the song I was memorized. Then Will was introduced to Joyner via Jaden on Will Smith’s Snapchat show Will at Home. Then the remix came out and honestly, it’s even better than the first version.
7. I Love Me Emo version ft. Travis Barker. Demi Lovato is a goddess and since her comeback, first at the Grammys with Anyone, then at the Super Bowl, now with I Love Me and I’m Ready – she is on fire.
8. Savage Remix featuring Beyoncé. This is a total TikTok favorite. I had never even heard the original song, but then this came out and I loved it. TikTok definitely helped escalated my interest in it.
9. Jonas Brothers – XV. Two in one. X is a song with Karol G and the V represents their second single called Five More Minutes. I was never a huge fan of the Jo Bro’s growing up, but their comeback album and tour was awesome. I can’t wait to hear their next new CD!
10. Mood Ring – Britney Spears. So this is a bonus of sorts. A previously unreleased song from her Glory album was dropped last week by demand from her fans and I’m a huge Britney fan so of course I geeked out. Totally love it!

I’m currently reading The Jetsetters by Amanda Eyre Ward. I binged American Royals in a week, it was amazing. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out I’m the fall.

My current pending orders are 1) Dunkaroos (YES – they’re back!) 2) Tie Dye shirts 3) Masks (I ordered a bunch from my best friends Kids store and Etsy) 4) anything Friends themed! I actually ordered every book and game Urban Outfitters had that had to do with the Friends show! I can’t wait.
Wanting…
I’m currently wanting and saving for a MacBook Pro. It’s so beautiful and sleek, and my MacBook Air is actually 10 years old. Thankfully it still works beautifully, so I don’t have to rush into buying a new laptop but my goal is to have the money for the Pro by the fall!
Doing…
At first, my quarantine hobby was making banana pudding but lately it’s become making beaded bracelets with my older sister! We have another date this weekend to keep making some more. She’s so good at it; I, on the other hand, suck.
Shopping for…
Currently, I am shopping for (or I should say, am still shopping for) a rug for my vanity in the bathroom. I am also on the hunt for birthday presents for my sister, godson, and nephew.
