Week #10! Here we go!!!

I am currently laying in the twin bed I’ve been sleeping in at the beach apartment we rented for the week listening to new music releases. I love coming to Siesta Key; it’s my happy place, my special oasis.

It’s been really hard for me this week to stay happy and relaxed. Work has been stressing me out and at one point I was at the verge of snapping. I’m thankful I was able to not “work” half the week, but it was really hard when I wasn’t working not to get frustrated; I was actually on the verge of tears.

Stress aside, it’s been a great week. The weather has been beautiful and my mother and I have only really fought once (which is a record in itself().

To kick it off, I am currently wearing my pajamas, listening to my playlist, on my MacBook on my last full beach day in Siesta Key. Tomorrow we go back to Miami, and because of the stupid hurricane I won’t be able to stop at the outlets for a change. Which is depressing and I already cried (trust me).

I like to say that this week was sponsored by my Amazon shopping addiction. All of my bating suits and most of my cover ups were bought on Amazon. I’ve mentioned before that I love Amazon bathing suits and the prices are usually hard to beat. I did go across the street to the little boutiques by the pharmacy (I’ve been shopping there since I was a kid with my grandmother) and I bought a few more sun shirts (ended up buying everyone and their mothers one!). I actually LOVE these sun shirts; they are refreshing and they feel great when the sun has become unbearable so I don’t burn.

Apparently Miami will be experiencing a tropical storm which has put a damper in my plans to stop at my favorite outlets in Florida; so because of this I decided to buy a Cricut because I’m on this DIY kick, might as well right? I’m actually really excited to get it and learn to use. I hope it’s easy or I’ll get frustrated the way I have been with the Dyson Air Wrap. I brought it with me to the beach, and I’m getting a good blowout with it but I still can’t figure out the stupid curling barrels.

Speaking of the Air Wrap, I brought with me a sample of the Morrocan Oil Purple Shampoo and I really liked it! I was excited to try it and as you know, I love to use purple shampoo once a week so this sample is the one I brought for the beach trip. It made my hair feel really soft, shiny, and most of all healthy. I’ll definitely add it to the mix; maybe getting the full size next so I can alternate between the Keratease and the Morrocan Oil one.

Next, I ordered three pairs of shoes on SheIn and I’m about to place another order. You can shop directly with SheIn using this link here. I am a huge fan of the site and the prices are undeniably amazing.

I also finally finished Hollywood Park; it was so good, a little intense, but still good. I really liked it. Now I’m a little under half way done with Vanishing Acts, also so good. Can’t wait to finish so I can move onto my third book of the week: In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende. In the Midst of Winter is the current book club selection for the book club I’m in through my work.

I bit the bullet and finally upgraded my Beats Pill speaker. I have had the small red Beats pill for almost six years, maybe a little more and I absolutely love it. We have it with us here this week, but I’ve been eying the 2.0 version for at least five years (I know, spoiled) so I bit the bullet and upgraded. It’ll arrive at my house on Tuesday!

When I get back to Miami, I’ll be going back to making bracelets and tie dying; I had ordered a crewneck sweatshirt that arrived the day I left so I can’t wait to make another tie dye masterpiece. I also have to make one for my best friend. She mailed me her sweater straight from Amazon so I could make it and send it back.
