2020: Positively Inspired or Rundown?
I read an article on The Every Girl website that really inspired me to write this post. I, along with many others, have been a Debbie downer about the year 2020. There’s even a song, which I love, called F2020. Granted it’s bee a rough year. So many lives lost, jobs lost, family’s in pain, and so much more.
Anyway, back to this article; said article wasn’t a Debbie downer post whatsoever. On the contrary, it attempted to highlight positive experiences that the editorial team at The Every Girl experienced in the last week. If you have read my last Currently post (if not check here) you know first hand that this week has been a rough one for me. However, in an attempt to be inspired by The Every Girl I am going to post a handful of positive things that have happened in the past week.
- This week was my little sister’s birthday and although I typically work late, I was able too semi-disconnect and attend her birthday Happy Hour! It was quite entertaining to say the least.
- The Miami Heat won on Sunday, lost on Tuesday, and won last night (Friday). We’re going onto game six (I’ve been saying Heat in seven since the finals happened, let’s see if they can pull it off).
- I officially started my Arbonne journey; I’m currently on day three and in my opinion it’s going well.
- This week I received a handful of packages I had ordered: some new skincare to try from Sephora, two SheIn orders I placed (one for me, one for my mother), and a couple Amazon purchases (mostly for my sister’s birthday.
- I’ve also placed a few new orders: Ring Concierge, Good American, Etsy, I Am Voter, and more Amazon (shocker!).
- Something positive that happened at work, because not all of my work this week was horrible, was that we successfully got the payroll out ON TIME and with time to spare. It was something I’ve been striving to reach and I’m really proud of the outcome. I also had some great meetings on other projects that I’m working on!
- I did get a surprise in the mail from my friend Tiffany that I absolutely love! It’s a little fabric koozie with a Mickey Mouse in the Louis Vuitton print. I can’t wait to put it on my drinks! So cute.
- Also, I was able to surprise my cousin with some Disney Halloween masks! I had bought them when I went up last month, and I was so excited to get the masks to them! They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Halloween and Disney so I knew it was the perfect surprise. It was a hit!
I hope you check out the article on The Every Girl website, and I think I’ll start incorporating this positive recap in my Currently articles going forward! What happened in your week that’s worth sharing?
